my art journal is more of a doodle journal now.. Because it’s a journal there will be more meaning behind the pages than is in my sketchbooks.. I work with a thought in mind whether it’s on the page or not…

This one was me thinking about my family and their creative collaborations in the past… We’ve all dabbled in crafts at some point.. On my moms side there is some amazing seamstresses, woodworker, crochet, … On my dad’s side painters, seamstresses, crafters…

My dad worked in crafts for a while making clocks and went on to build remote controlled airplanes..

My mom was an all around crafter, painter (oil)… She used to make our clothes even.. And dolls..

Then there is me and my sister… She is an amazing pin striping maniac!

And me with my fingers in everything…

The instinct to create is seriously in my DNA from every direction..
