I’ve had my Derwent Inktense pencils for a while, but I haven’t gotten to use them overly much. So I not only colored on this little mandaladoodle I’d done the other day, but I also made me a color chart to keep inside my Inktense tin so that I can see at a glance what color I want to use..

You can see where I didn’t bother ‘dissolving’ the colors entirely in some areas…. In some the ink is heavier than others, and then faded more in some. These pencils defy what I know of watercolors and it takes a serious push to remember the way they work!

Silly times with my baby girl.. We’ve been bringing our art supplies outside and enjoying the awesome weather that we’re blessed with!
