In today’s world, finding time to sit and have coffee and tea can be rare. Why shouldn’t we make those moments more special with some added beauty? Below are 10 mug rug tutorials that I have come across over time and some are just too adorable to be ignored! I hope you find at least one that you like!

Mary over at The Curious Quilter has an adorable pattern complete with templates and well laid out instructions. This cute little lady bug would be great for getting your kids into drinking tea or just in encouraging them to eat the healthy snack or two.

2. Little House Mug Rug Tutorial

Christina at The Sometimes Crafter has this quick and easy little house mug rug as well as a ton of other tutorials to leave you feeling completely accomplished in a day!  

3. Scrap Selvedge Mug Rug Tutorial

A quick and easy tutorial by Angela at Fussy Cut to use up those scrap selvedge pieces that are just too cute to toss in the trash!

4. Tea Time Mug Rug Tutorial

Mollie over at Wild Olive has this very feminine tea time mug rug! I am in love with the little teabag applique and the added eyelet lace just makes it feel so quaint and beautiful!

5. Quilted Mug Rug with Napkin Pocket Tutorial

Another beautiful way to use up some of that stash that’s just too pretty to stay hidden. Liz over at Sew We Quilt has a great tutorial with this mug rug with a napkin pocket added! You don’t want to miss this!

7. Quilt As You Go Mug Rug Tutorial

Pam from Clever Little Mouse has put together an easy to follow tutorial for a mug rug using the quilt as you go method. If you havent checked out this method, it’s truly worth your time to look into it!

8. Paper Pieced Spool Mug Rug Tutorial

Laura from So-Sew-Easy.Com has a paper piecing tutorial for this spool patterned mug rug. I love old vintage spools and watch for them constantly at flea markets and antique shops. This one I could use daily!

9. Rainbow Sunset Mug Rug Tutorial

This girl is straight up my hero. I love the sun rays image and always have. Amy from Ameroonie Designs shows us exactly how to make a quilt as you go mug rug with that very design! Yay! Thanks Amy!

10. Solar System Mug Rug Tutorial

I saved the best for last. It’s the best if you’re a solar system fan! This one is a little more labor intensive but it is so worth it for that eye popping solar system laying on your table for your snack time! Melissa from PolkaDotChair.Com deserves big BIG props for this one!
