Okay, so you may not know off hand what a french seam is, but this thing is SO handy for many reasons. If you are making a purse or bag, using french seams on the inside means no ragged seams and you can do away with the lining. This seam can be used inside of garments as well in order to prevent ragged fraying and those annoying little threads!
