YES! That is little missy enjoying the sunshine on her oh so awesome (pretend) date with Jacob! I do have to watch the two of them, I’m finding out today they ‘spent the night at the motel’ (ahem, cough cough splutter choke). I did have to poke and prod to get info but I’m still unable to sort out where the idea came from that a date means you go to the motel and spend the night lmao! Just for the record, it did NOT come from me or my habits! All I can find out is it’s from TV… scary.. I know.. sheesh.. oh well, on to C-R-E-A-T-E
So I started with a word. One of my favorite words actually! A basic shape, nothing special. This page in particular is a McDonald’s doodle. Each week we go do laundry, buy groceries, and I take K to McDonald’s for lunch and to play (with the weather here we kind of count on the indoor playground!).
Very quickly, I ran through each letter and set up the pattern lines. Originally, I was going to break up the designs on each letter so my R has two patterns on it. But then I decided to stick with one per letter and that’s what you see. Notice that it’s rough! There is nothing about me or my life that is utterly perfect, including doodles. If an area doesn’t jive, I try to beef it up or add to it or add in another area to even the weight of the image out.
This is the almost finished! The word is complete and is just waiting to be doodled around and around and behind and on top and underneath! But that’s for another weekly visit to McDonald’s! I’ve also noticed that every time I post one online, I see something here or there that needs work. For some reason, seeing it in a photo changes my perspective and I can see things I don’t see when I look at the paper!
Happy Doodling!
